I like to draw with acrylic markers and ink to create compositions brimming with excesses of pattern. Taking inspiration from dreams, meditations, rituals and life beautiful synchronicities my work is funnelled through the lens of the alter-natural creating scenes that are either homely and familiar or full of unnerving brutality and looming dread. My work is regarded by some as cute but the keen eyed among my patrons see something deeper; perhaps the best review I’ve received of my work was that it was somewhat ‘unhinged’.
I hope that my work brings magic to the viewer, reminding them of the wonderful duplicitous nature of our little lives.
